Lume ("Lume", "we", "us") is a parent-managed app that helps children watch
safe, curated video. Lume is part of WAYN (Wayn Corporation). This policy
explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions:

Who controls the account — Lume is set up and managed by a parent or
guardian. The adult creates the account, adds child profiles, sets daily
time limits, and controls access with a private PIN. Children do not create
accounts or enter personal information themselves.
Information we collect
- Account — the parent's email address (to create and secure the account).
- Child profile — a first name, age, and avatar per child, entered by the
parent.
- Activity in the app — search queries and watch history (to return
results, power discovery, and apply time limits).
- Usage/analytics — anonymous app-usage events via our analytics provider,
to improve the app.
- Technical data — basic device/app information needed to run the service.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, health, financial
information, or outside-app browsing, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information directly from children.
How videos are screened — Lume surfaces videos from public platforms (e.g.
YouTube). Search queries and transcripts are processed by trusted
third-party services for screening and playback. We show only content that
passes our safety checks.
How we use information — to provide and secure the service; return results
and curate a safe feed; enforce time limits and the parent PIN; understand
usage and improve; and respond to support. We do not sell personal
information, use it for third-party advertising, or track users across
other apps or websites.
Service providers — Supabase (auth + database), Mixpanel (analytics),
Anthropic/Claude (AI safety screening), TranscriptAPI.com (video search +
transcripts), Resend (transactional email), YouTube (playback). Each is
bound to use data only to provide its service to us.
Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K) — Lume is intended for children but
operated by a parent/guardian, who provides any child information and
controls the account. We limit children's data to what's necessary, never
serve behavioral advertising, and never sell data. Parents can review or
delete a child's profile in the app, or email contact@wayn.co to delete the
account and its data. If you believe a child gave us information without
parental involvement, contact us and we'll delete it.
Data retention and deletion — kept while the account is active; parents can
delete profiles in-app or request full deletion via connect@wayn.co.
Security — industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access
controls). No system is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
International transfers — your information may be processed in other
countries, with appropriate safeguards where required.
Your rights — depending on where you live, you may access, correct, or
delete your data, or object to/restrict processing. Contact

Changes — we may update this policy; the "Last updated" date reflects
changes.
